Meadow Shapes and Spaces [64 x 90 x 20 cms] Dorothy Tucker
This is inspired by a set of Albanian costumes and the family of fabrics that clothed the woman. Each layer is different in weight, drape, texture and decoration. The veil is embroidered with native flowers. The shape and space element comes from unpicking a jacket to see how it was cut and assembled. The photographs record a meadow in June and feeling life pulsating through the glossy green abundance of grasses and flowers.
