Traces of Life

‘Traces of Life’ saw the Textile Study Group and artists from the Swedish textile group Textil 13 cross boundaries in an inspirational exhibition. The exhibition aimed to elevate the profile of embroidery as a contemporary art form in Sweden. The artists researched themes related to past and present, family or social history, nature, and human-made objects. The work highlighted the creative potential of needle, thread, and both conventional and unconventional materials.
