The Venue
The Hayes is set in 100 acres of peaceful countryside and is situated in the Amber Valley, the heart of picturesque Derbyshire. The area is rich in history and heritage, with Matlock, Chesterfield, The Peak District and Chatsworth House places all worth visiting.
Use of the leisure facilities is available to residential students.
The venue is easily accessible by road from the M1 or by train to Alfreton and then taxi ride. The nearest airport is East Midlands.
Ample free parking is available.
More Details
The summer school begins at 2.00pm on Monday 23rd July, and ends after afternoon tea on Thursday 26th July 2018.
On Monday, the studios will be open from 1.00pm. All bedrooms must be vacated by 9.30am on the Thursday morning.
Costs
All bedrooms are double ensuite.
Full board, course fee, accommodation £560
Non resident day delegate and course fee £350.
This includes dinner and workshops in the evenings.
The course fee does not include lunch on Monday.
If you are making a long journey, bed and breakfast for Sunday and/or Thursday night can be arranged at extra cost by booking directly with the centre.
Those receiving in-service grants from colleges should send the Textile Study Group the course fee and claim back a refund from their college.

Terms and Conditions
The booking form includes important Terms and Conditions (also shown below) in line with our liabilities to the centre. Please ensure you read these carefully.
Cancellation
Please read these important Terms and Conditions which are in line with our liabilities to the centre.
Your deposit of £100 which secures your place on the TSG Summer School is non-refundable unless you cancel within 7 days of receipt by the Booking Secretary of your booking form. If within the 7 days, the deposit will be refunded less 10%.
Your balance is due by 23rd March 2018. Please make note of this date and ensure your payment is prompt to confirm your reserved place.
Cancellation after payment of the balance must be made in writing by email or letter to the Booking Secretary.
A full refund of the balance will be made less a handling charge of £15 only if the place is filled.
If the place is not filled.
- Cancellation by 31st May – 50% of the balance will be refunded
- Cancellation by 9th July – 25% of the balance will be refunded
- Cancellation after 9th July – no refund
Any refund due will be made after the start of the course.
Course fee insurance is highly recommended and is your responsibility.
Other Information
The Textile Study Group reserves the right to limit the participation in the course of any student.
In the exceptional circumstances of a tutor being unavailable, the Textile Study Group reserves the right to replace them with another Textile Study Group tutor.
All electrical equipment brought to the college must have a current electrical safety certificate.
You will be asked to sign an undertaking that this has been done.
